I recently flew to Japan for £500, plus the train journey to and from the airport which was just under £200 💀 Plus, in Japan a 2 hr, 550km journey cost £80 (on amazing, clean, super fast trains) whilst a 2hr, 230km journey in the UK cost £90 (on old, dirty, busy trains) 🫠
My daughter has just booked two train journeys. Paris to Berlin - €49.99 London to Manchester - €324.36 How does that possibly make sense?

Even once I had a phone, I used to turn it off each night. And the internet was always switched off at the plug at 10pm until I was about 16 😅

Do fun things with your dog every day. Take photos and videos all the time. Buy or make them interesting treats. Give them loads of attention. Play and cuddle and walk/run. Go on adventures. Look for places that allow dogs and go there. 💛

It feels like most people (myself included) have been trying to move more towards ‘slower living’, connecting to nature and fewer screens etc and yet it seems that ‘innovators’ and ‘design leaders’ are pushing for things that go the opposite way. Idgi

One part of pet loss grief I struggle with is fighting the jealousy of seeing other people being happy with their dogs. I hate that I feel like this but I guess it’s not super irrational so thought I’d share in case it’s something others have or will feel to show it’s ‘normal’.

I’m trying to be much more mindful about which I buy these days, but don’t want to stop since I do love print media and want to continue supporting it. I just don’t really have the space anymore and want them to be more useful.
