TLDR: Both sensors in women were inaccurate at rest and during exercise in the heat. However, they were precise (consistent) across rest and exercise.

We heard from our colleague Normand today about his work with elite female athletes returning to sport from pregnancy. Sprint interval training on Zwift 3/wk starting 5wks postpartum returns abs VO2peak & Wpeak within 6wks. More research coming on post-pregnancy return to sport!

A new one for me, but after a ~year long investigation, a review paper that clearly plagiarized the work of @DieterBrad , @mskoehle and myself was finally retracted: https://t.co/AKyrGxSIc6 A full write-up to come.

🎉 Exciting research alert! This #CaseReport explores how postpartum exercise could sustain the impressive #cardiacoutput seen during pregnancy. Congratulations to @Nrmnd_Rchrd, @mskoehle, and @exercise4heart for their important work! 🌟 Check it out! 📜
In this #CaseReport article, @Nrmnd_Rchrd, @VClaydonLab, @mskoehle and @exercise4heart (@SFU) examine whether the enhanced #cardiacoutput of pregnancy could be maintained with strenuous #exercise training undertaken early #postpartum. 📜 https://t.co/nVAdSLVGuq

New publication from @UBCKin Physio/PhD student/passionate researcher of all things exercise/vascular and muscle oxygenation @jem_arnold. Check out his thread on exercise muscle reoxygenation at various muscle sites 🧵
Just published on #NIRS #muscleoxygenation Thanks to co-authors, reviewers, & editors Muscle reoxygenation is slower after higher cycling intensity, and is faster and more reliable in locomotor than in accessory muscle sites What is it all about? 🧵/12 https://t.co/eqCUY4g6eS
