In surgery clinic, I saw that my patient was struggling to explain their symptoms in English. Their chart indicated that they spoke Farsi so I offered to do the rest of the exam in Farsi. Their surprise and excitement that I knew The language was so rewarding.

core career memory:
last night, I successfully put in a central line in the right IJ ALL BY MYSELF, from start to finish!
My attending didn’t even gown/glove up which made me SUPER nervous at first but it encouraged me to push myself and be comfortable being uncomfortable.
