We extend this pipeline to investigate how different Salmonella serovars infect human THP-1 macrophages. We identified genes ONLY required during infection by Typhi & Paratyphi A. = NOT required by Typhimurium.

To systematically characterize these fitness events, we used @abarysh’s SAFE & other systems cofitness approaches to identify serovar-specific gene networks. We identified several gene clusters that ONLY have phenotypes in Typhi & Paratyphi A.
