I have a talk out at YouTube which was held at the @PMC_modularity community. If you are interested in #networkbiology and #ibd than maybe worth a check next to some coffee or some boring tasks. https://t.co/as3iynD3NW

Of course you can take the other approach telling a neural network to parametrise the system for itself, but you (1) need a lots of data (2) you need to avoid overfitting. Well it is just a quick thoughts after a great event. Anyone here, any thoughts? 4/4

but still in a cell a million other possibilities are present for regulation (local concentrations, intra cellular location constraints, degradation times at all levels). It is almost impossible to include everything without overparametrising the model. 3/4

Meanwhile hundreds of proteins. How can we choose the right interactors, the right context? I usally use only some transcriptomic data to contextualise the network and using only those proteins whose transcripts at least measuarable in trace. I exclude the impossible, 3/4

It was fantastic to talk today at the Protein Modules Community event. Dr Joanna Koszela's work reminded me how important is to contextualise the network. She worked on Parkin, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, and she showed amazingly the target preference. 1/4
Remember to join us at 6pm CET Mar 10 for the next seminar in our series with Dr. Dezsล Mรณdos (@mdeske @imperialcollege) and Dr. Joanna Koszela (@UofGlasgow). Register to attend: https://t.co/8BXZ0ua0C2 (1/2)
