NEARLY THREE QUARTERS OF A BILLION POUNDS to send 4 volunteers to Rwanda, one of whom disappeared. And TEN BILLION more was planned. This isn't bad policy, it's gross misconduct in public office. We have yet to know the full truth of the Tory government's venal incompetence.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper says the true cost of the Rwanda scheme so far has been £700m. She says the Tories had planned to spend £10 billion in total on the scheme, a number that had not been relayed to Parliament.
