New Jazlab work! When monkeys produce vectors on a map w/o visual feedback, an endogenously activated cognitive map in the entorhinal cortex reflects animals' knowledge about the (invisible) intervening landmarks. Exciting work by @sujayane w/ @FieteGroup

Congratulations! I add that this a real attempt at good science. Rishi et al published (“pre-registered”) the models long before physiology, unlike the common approach of doing things the other way around.
Glad to share a preprint of new work with @hansemsohn. and @mjaz_jazlab where we investigated the role of "mental simulations" in physical inferences using dense electrophysiology in the dorsomedial frontal cortex of monkeys playing Mental-Pong.

Great job @newyorker really great job. Which century do you live in?.
Just out in the New Yorker: An article about Men Reading Minds with fMRI!.The author mentions 9 male and 0 female neuroscience professors, a feat made possible by impressive contortions like attributing a study from Ev Fedorenko’s lab to one of its male middle authors.

This makes so much sense it’s hard to imagine otherwise.
Very persuasive article from @DrDaronAcemoglu @glenweyl and Mike Jordan on AI and Turing test. Great points in there beautifully made. (complements yesterday’s coversation with @DianeCoyle1859 nicely).
