Honored to be featured in this @nytimes article about the McClintock Letters initiative! Op-eds from scientists across the country are going out in their hometown newspapers over the next couple of weeks, keep an eye out for one near you. #SciComm.

Strength in numbers for the scientific enterprise! Very happy to have joined the Philadelphia #StandUpForScience rally today, and to have seen so many other people there. These are hard times to be in science and science policy in a lot of ways, but inspiring ones as well.

Discovered this weekend that organizing a Science Diplomacy Simulation is surprisingly similar to planning a D&D campaign. They both end up being pretty fun, too!.#ScienceDiplomacy

Just got back from #BMES2023, a fantastic experience as always! Extremely interesting being able to see so much of the field in one place. Getting the chance to explore Seattle and give my first poster presentation on my PhD research was pretty fun, too!

(3/4) In this article, we explore some of the reasons for this loss of trust in more depth, and make specific recommendations for how we can improve our science communication in future public health emergencies.

(2/4) Science communication was a critical component of our national public health response during the pandemic, but also an area where a lot went wrong, as inconsistent messaging and a fractured media environment led to a widespread loss of trust in government institutions.
