On this day in 1989, 96 Liverpool supporters attended a football match and never returned home. Among the victims of the Hillsborough disaster were four men from St Helens. The @StevePrescott1 Bridge will be lit red this evening to remember those who lost their lives. #YNWA

The number of COVID-positive patients being admitted to @sthknhs has doubled in the last week. Our hospital admission rates are rising to a similar level to March/April. Sadly, this can mean more people may lose their lives. Let's help keep our loved ones safe. #HandsFaceSpace

Received reports today of someone calling people in the St Helens area, claiming to be Citizens Advice and offering to help sort debts. Citizens Advice would not offer such a service by cold calling people. The number was a mobile 07786 549462 Pls be vigilant @sthelenscouncil
