This is the owner of San Japan, a popular Texas con. This is what they are saying privately in response to why they don’t invite POC guests to San Japan. This thinking is extremely flawed and should be reconsidered.

Hey artist alley friends - I know you got bills to pay, but please skip Anime Matsuri. Going there is not a good look and says a lot about your values. There are plenty of other anime cons in the year that aren't owned by sexual predators, go spend money and make money on those.
Since Anime Matsuri is opening artist table sales soon, here is a reminder to BOYCOTT AM by leaving their artist alley empty!!! The organizer has multiple sexual harassment and the con has a long history of mistreating their staff and vendors.

Got an email from an artist asking if Told Magazine Inc is really a scam, and the answer is YES. It's a scam aimed at vulnerable artists. They offer an interview and then ask for money so they can mail you magazines, but it's all a ruse. Don't fall for it.
Just a warning to art twitter - there's (another) e-mail scam going around.
I received the pictured email today from 'Told Magazine Inc', and was pretty skeptical so did some digging. (1/4)
