📢 Preprint out now! We present a PGS-pretrained 3D CNN that improves both cross-sectional and longitudinal prediction of youth depression, and generalizes to a Korean youth cohort. Through explainable AI, we also identified key white matter pathways implicated in prediction.

We’ve mapped the genetic blueprint of the brain’s largest communication bridge using a new AI tool developed here by @njahanshad & co. Our publicly available tool reveals how genes shape this vital structure & may influence certain disorders. Learn more: https://t.co/CIKlLndbvb

Excited to share our #OHBM2025 poster! No.1161 🎉 PGS-informed white matter integrity improves prediction of youth depression. XAI highlights key tracts, and the model generalizes to an independent Korean cohort. Would love to hear your thoughts!

It was such a pleasure to talk with Professor Paul Thompson about how deep learning methodologies can be integrated with neuroimaging and imaging genetics. Thank you again for your insightful talk at OHBM 2025!

#AI + neuro experts: has anyone used multimodal stable diffusion (like text-to-video generative AI [1]) to train a generative model of brain variation from the genetic code? In other words, to generate brains from DNA? You could start with our ENIGMA-CHARGE-UKB Nature Genetics

I oral-presented my master's thesis on the VR-EEG paradigm to characterize awe as an ambivalent emotion at KHBM. Fortunately, I was selected as the best presenter with @minjeongyun5 at @ConnectomeL 🥳 Thank you to everyone who showed interest!

My first paper, in collaboration with aesthetics researchers from my undergraduate days, is finally published! 🥳 We tackled the “paradox of horror,” a philosophical question since 17C, using cogsci. Most people hate unpleasant art, but some love it. Why?

Amazing talk by @TobiasUHauser ! I agreed with that is difficult to directly connect symptom-based psychiatric diagnostic criteria to the brain. And a computational approach can contribute to coding functional characteristics such as neuronal alterations and indecisiveness.

Thank you so much for showing interest in my research, listening to it, and voting for me! It means a lot to me. Being able to communicate with young neuroscientists from Europe felt like a dream come true, and I will cherish all the conversations and questions we shared.

Third place! I can't believe it! Even though we are all working in the same field named neuroscience, we come from diverse backgrounds. So, I was already happy just to have the opportunity to present my research in front of everyone, but winning third place feels incredible
