No role for plasma. Cytokine and inflammatory modulation is seems to be the direction foward to treating the acute disease.
The RECOVERY Data Monitoring Committee reviewed data on patients randomised to convalescent plasma vs. usual care. The preliminary analysis based on 10,406 randomised patients with 1873 reported deaths shows no significant difference in the primary endpoint of 28-day mortality.

I can identify with this. This was my last week on Intensive care . Our ITU nurses and Acute care staff are our precious assets. Look after them.

13% mortality too good to be true not what we are seeing. However there maybe some truth to this although needs to be further validated in a well designed RCT. Severe Covids treated within 7 days of symptom onset on mechanical ventilation .
A cohort of patients with severe Covid-19 received treatment with remdesivir under a compassionate-use protocol. Improvement in oxygen-support status was observed in 68% of patients, and overall mortality was 13% over a median follow-up of 26 days. #COVID19.
