I don’t know what you know, Gary. Can you give us a few examples of PMs who became unpopular and didn’t fight back.
@michaelwhite Starmer toxic with voters . You know that no PM has ever come back from such a low point.

Don’t be a chump, Jerry. It suits you. I can think of few people less alike than plodding, earnest Starmer and glib, heartless Farage.
@michaelwhite It worked for Keir Starmer too so of course Farage does the same.

RT @Bradholler: @michaelwhite Armchair agitators actually. Light the blue touch paper and retire a very safe distance.

Don’t bet you pension on that one, Gary.
@michaelwhite Whilst Labour have Starmer it is likely a reform win.

Read Douglas Murray in the Spectator for £1 ? People like Murray are the reason why I stopped reading the once agnostic Spectator.
‘The author joins a long list of Irish figures willing to throw themselves into the middle of any row so long as it allows them the warm, fuzzy feeling of continuing to be part of the most oppressed people ever.’ Read Douglas's latest column by subscribing for just £1 a month.

In your dreams.
@michaelwhite Collective punishment of modern Britons for the Good Friday Agreement. The IRA are all dead or decrepit now anyway. F the agreement.

True, but Brexit was a political deal. Lawyers know as well as anyone else to bend the law for political purposes, though some deny it.
@sergeantdixie @michaelwhite The broader argument is indivisible from the question. Recall what I said about what law "says" and what law "means". The ECHR cannot be applicable to one part of a country and not others. The Brexit Agreement is not remotely comparable from a legal perspective.

It’s standard Trump procedure, in his case taught by NYC crooked lawyer, Roy Cohn, It is to admit nothing, deny everything and counter attack. Except if Putin is involved. Dunno why.

@RockyWasYer @michaelwhite See, I disagree with some of that, but if I was told that's the end game, written down etc. and that's what actually happens, then my attitude would be that people got what they voted for and that's life - it's the make it up as it goes I object to.

We’ll see. Politics is for grown ups but I agree, we don’t live in very grown ups times. Just listen to the Trump cabinet members telling lies to please their emperor.
@michaelwhite Well he’s the weathervane the rest of the parties are following. Tory policy now to leave the ECHR, red wall caucus of Labour MP’s forcing Starmer to leave/majorly change relationship with ECHR . Who or what have you ever influenced Micky … absolutely nothing and no one ….

I’ve always respected Kate Hoey, she had courage, willing to take unpopular positions - the opposite of Farage - but she’s a professional sports trainer, not an international lawyer.
@michaelwhite Kate hoey had called this out several times just update the wording as blair did several times between 1999-2007 (after the vote( on having a new bill of rights.

I’m sure you’re right about that. I always felt the legitimate concerns of UKIP voters deserved a much better response & leadership than a populist bullshit merchant like weathervane Farage. I haven’t changed my opinion. How did we sunk so low ?.
@michaelwhite Micky, I pretty sure his views of you have diminished considerably … and we can all see why !!.
