I asked chatgpt's new image model to script and generate a series of comics starring itself as the main character. The results genuinely gave me chills. I'll post them all in a thread below.

Apropos of nothing, I love having followed comics as a kid. It's like a secret society where names like Mike Grell, Zeck and Ploog all conjour magic for those in the club, but mean next to nothing to the world at large (no offence to those artists!). I love being a comics fan.

No, you’re not crazy! Night scenes DO LOOK darker now than they did in the decades prior. But it’s not because cinematographers refuse to light their scenes (common misconception). It’s because the STYLE of lighting has changed. Let me explain. 🧵

Rewatched Gladiator for the first time in probably 15 years and it’s still fine but god, we truly just do not make them like Oliver Reed anymore. On the edge of exploding his heart at the bar and he’s blowing everyone off the screen

I think it’s fair to say that O Brother, Where Art Thou is George Clooney’s best performance. Absolutely hysterical. Simple line reads are turned into these sing-songy quips you’ll repeat to yourself for years. Perhaps his most old-Hollywood inspired performance as well.
