Today I celebrated Fraser in a small way by dining at an Australian cafe near his NU-Chicago office and ordering poached pears (on pancakes), one of the special desserts he liked making for group gatherings at his Evanston home. And I echo the words, Thanks Fraser for everything!

As tributes pour in for Fraser Stoddart from around the world, we add our sympathy and love to Ali and all his family, friends, students and collaborators. Read his reflection in @ChemistryWorld, on the whirlwind experience of becoming a Nobel laureate https://t.co/lvNQMCXHTK

I will miss Fraser a great deal. Today marks 17 years since I became his personal assistant, and what a run it has been! We worked hard and also loved to joke around a wee bit. Best job I could ever have hoped for.

What a terrible loss. I had the good fortune of meeting him during my postdoc at UC-Berkeley. At Birmingham then, at dinner he lambasted British higher ed – ALWAYS opinionated, and usually correct. A giant of supramolecular and novel aromatic chemistry – may he rest in peace.

Researchers from @NorthwesternU have investigated charge transfer dynamics in supramolecular tessellations, exemplified by the tris(naphthalenediimide)-pyrene co-crystal CSD entry SUJVUS, here disguised as a Christmas tree. 🔗 https://t.co/e2uPgmInSY #FeaturedStructureFriday

Maybe Marie Curie’s legacy is more than her 2 Nobels. In Elements of Marie Curie, Dava Sobel beautifully illuminates her dozens of scientific offspring, dozens of women physicists and chemists. My review in @Nature https://t.co/IwEgngZhm9

A new Science Speaks #interview is out. I had the honor to speak to humanitarian @ZafraLerman who has been fostering peace by scientific exchange for decades. You can now read all about her amazing work & life in her recently published memoir. https://t.co/6Wz44U6qGk
