I’m not even a left-winger and I think this was desperate stuff. That MP was a class act.
A leading Labour left winger on the suspensions tells me: “This is desperate stuff. It shows how thin-skinned Keir Starmer is. He actually changed position on welfare as a result of what these and MPs did. This makes the PM look so weak.”.

I understand this may look bad, but who wants that job? . He’s been in post for only 1.5 years.Thames water has been circling the drain for longer than that. The current CEO’s role is just to keep TW alive under colossal pressure. In that context, he may merit his bonus.

Why does the @guardiannews write such bad headlines?. “But there are barely any” / “but they don’t exist” / “but there aren’t any”. Would all seem easier to digest to me. Perhaps it’s much lack of journalist skill, but they seem to water down their messages with this.
