@ArriveCAN thought #3: it's 2022. Why does your password field have a maximum length?

second thought: did you know @ArriveCAN does not actually have a password change feature at all?!

first thought: I should not have to google "<site name> how to change password" to find the password changer. Put it under Account Settings or Security like everybody else.

Thinking tonight about how two #pediatric #flu deaths in Guelph in 2018 made national news. Five seasons later, #ONgov won't even tell us how many deaths. "when CBC News asked other provinces...officials in Ontario declined to provide any statistics." https://t.co/MUystL9363

Wondering why my Twitter likes aren't being saved and my poll responses aren't registering today.

"If authorized by FDA, CDC anticipates a recommendation for bivalent COVID-19 vaccine for additional pediatric age groups in early to mid-December." 6mos-5yrs. Americans are, once again, far far far ahead of us. We won't even immunize kids under 12.
Third doses of *bivalent* COVID vaccine are expected to be available next month for kids <5, the @CDCgov now says But @pfizer-@BioNTech_Group recipients in this age group will not be eligible to get it, if they already received a third *monovalent* shot https://t.co/Z7lR7yfesr

Yikes. Power pantographs, even if only over major highways, mean the trucks need batteries a fraction the size. It's so easy, except we haven't figured out a way to charge for it, so it doesn't happen. Thanks capitalism! https://t.co/UDeFMwmml7

Tesla rolls out its Semi next month, adding pressure on the trucking industry to go green. But grid upgrades must start now if the new era is to last.

Students and faculty, perhaps -- but staff (particularly food, custodial, and anyone else who works in "non-instructional areas like food courts or the residences") are being put at unnecessary risk. The university class divide remains strong.

Finally listening to @OS_Guelph's elxn night coverage and thinking: across every ward, throughout the whole city, Guelph voters put aside the rhetoric and voted overwhelmingly for candidates who commited to just #BuildTheDamnLibrary. Thank you, #Guelph. I can't wait to see it.

Cringing at the inevitable calls for "more online voting" that will inevitably come out of this poor-turnout election. We definitely need more accessible voting options, but online voting breaks elections. Let's not.

For about 20 of you, the work is just beginning. For the rest, a rest awaits. But not too long. Your next campaign will start sooner than you think.
