PostDoc @edfm_tum studying the role of biotic interactions and extreme weather events on #forest dynamics. PhD @UniNMBU. #Tropical #Temperate #ecology

Will #tropical cloud forest #tree and #páramo #species persist warming temperatures?? 🌳🌱🌡️. Some of them will, even with 9°C warmer 🥵, with enough light availability!. Happy to share our #CostaRica transplant experiment results in @Oikos_Journal.

Really glad to be working in this landscape and with this team! Looking forward to checking the complete data and sharing some results soon! a little hint of some of the patterns we observed so far: 🏔️🌳🌿🐇
Resurveying our experimental plots at #BerchtesgadenNationalPark this week. Wonderful fall weather, wonderful team, and some first exciting trends visible (but one should not speculate on outcomes from just looking at a small fraction of the data😉); w/ @M_Maroschek @mazon_munoz
