So excited to see our first joint paper on biodiversity-productivity relationships across elevations and landscapes out @Forestecosyst. Great collaboration and very appreciate all the support from two fantastic teams, looking forward to more interesting results to come.
Nice result from our collaboration with the Kunming Institute of Botany: relationships between tree diversity (TD, PD, FD) and productivity along elevation gradients in the European Alps and Yulong Mt in Yunnan. Well done @joyzou18! Stay tuned for more elevation-gradient work.

I am thrilled to share my first postdoc paper, where we tested the effects of insect diversity and its interactions with microbes on wood decomposition.

Biodiversity drives ecosystem processes, but its influence on deadwood decomposition is poorly understood. To test the effects of insect diversity on wood decomposition, we conducted a mesocosm...
We manipulated beetle communities in deadwood in mesocosms following a classic biodiversity-ecosystem-functioning approach creating gradients of species richness and functional diversity. Analyses performed by @joyzou18 published @ESAEcology show that beetle biodiversity matters

Cool study, congratulations!.
New study on insect biomass patterns in Germany: reanalysis of the Krefeld data led by Jörg Müller @eco_FSF shows that weather conditions and anomalies explain temporal patterns including declines suggesting that climate change is already a major driver.
