It's so telling that "smartly budgeted global theatrical releases with innovative marketing campaigns" require incumbents to create an entirely "new brand" What does that make the rest of their rosters, poorly budgeted global theatrical releases with uninspired marketing?
EXCLUSIVE: There was some major news earlier this week when NEON's Chief Marketing Officer and 'Longlegs' and 'Parasite' campaign architect Christian Parkes left the arthouse distributor — but now we know where he, and two of his NEON colleagues Jason Wald and Spencer Collantes

Ok, wrote a new essay, on the experience of reading Proust: https://t.co/0Qkye1wkP6
I finished Proust a few weeks ago, still reeling from it. One of the best reading experiences of my life.

If you worked in art on AAA video games and dislike AI because it uses your stolen art from those games, I have a newsflash for you: your art was not stolen because it was likely not your art. Your art is owned by the company who paid you for it. This is because, in nearly all

I continue to be astounded by the lack of understanding by games and media/hollywood around AI content consumption by kids to twenty-somethings. A month ago we had a pointless firestorm over Tilly Norwood, an AI "actress" which made no sense because why pay for someone else's AI

Proustian sentences are back, baby.
Trite observation maybe, but reading about Portuguese and later Dutch merchant traders traversing the uncharted open seas and enduring unspeakable peril to reach the Orient (the first sanctioned Dutch expedition to Java in 1596 lost 150 out of 250 men and resulted in a minor

In a little over a decade, Fever has gone from just another ticketing service to an end-to-end, data-driven OS for live entertainment. I wrote about the company’s singular vision.

Also, it's very clear we need more muses. More specifically, muse-artist relationships where both unironically acknowledge their roles and want nothing more than just keep it going so more facets of it can exist in the world. Beautiful no matter the medium.

I'm looking for a few long-term brand partners who want to support @DialecticPod and grow with me. I have some incredible guests lined up in the next few months, several with video. As part of that, I'm looking to invest more resources to help the show meet it's potential.
25 Lessons from 25 Episodes of @DialecticPod While some of this is specific to hosting a conversational interview podcast, I hope it is broadly helpful for anyone seeking to have deeper, richer conversations or creating new things. Thread:

Not so much a prediction as a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've heard the movie referenced for a decade and everyone was convinced it would happen and would be a profitable business model. Fiction made the AI companion a goal for technologists.
Pretty crazy how Her (2013) accurately predicted fashion and weird relationships with AI girlfriends in 2025, the year in which the movie is set.
