The local government can release billions of gallons in raw sewage straight into nature to absolutely no consequence but the same local gov’t will sue you into oblivion if you live on land within 1k feet of tidal water & cut down a tree. Ask me again why populism is rising

Turns out the 500,000,000+ gallons of raw sewage flowing into the Potomac River that DC officials are scoffing at has exploded E. Coli levels at the site and downriver. This is barely local news.
