There should have been a transition plan from Day 1. It was always going to need Biden’s buy in, but none of what’s happening now is surprising. The party and its leaders let it come to this through cowardice, inertia and inaction.

The way the Democratic leadership has treated Biden is shameful. There were ways to handle this with care and respect, behind closed doors, not publicly humiliating him after his service to our country
