This is a genius idea. Ditto for UUV’s and USV’s in a similar approach.
Unmanned system defense contracts should be determined by king-of-the-hill in a 100km^3 area near Las Vegas. Rules:.- No humans allowed in the Box. - Any non-nuclear system may enter.- Leader determined by controlling a randomly-determined zone.- Monthly winner gets $100M

Because pipelines from desalination plants don’t economically (or even physically, in many instances) work for 1000s of miles inland. So, unless you want to condemn 10s of millions of interior state US citizens to drought, farm failures, & energy poverty, that’s a non-starter 🤷♂️.
@SantsPliego Oh, I’m well aware of the science. I’m questioning why we would do this in a populated area, or why we would do it when you can easily run a pipeline from a desalination plant.

Hero. As were the counselors of Camp Mystic who gave their lives to protect their campers, without a thought for themselves.
“I had about 200 kids — scared, cold, and terrified. Probably the worst day of their lives.”. Coast Guard rescue swimmer Scott Ruskin shares how he helped save 165 people during the devastating Texas floods at Camp Mystic.

This is sobering & worth a read. It’s also a good example of why quantum secure identity systems that prove to human beings that orders for biotech gear - or any orders - come from other humans up & down the chain - are an essential (but not sufficient) part of AGI defense.
Few ‘AI doom’ stories on the internet are plausible to me. So I decided to write one that is:. How AI Might Take Over in 2 Years. One of my readers was spooked enough to purchase a bio bunker. Enjoy :).
