In Maine, a criminal record does not affect your right to #vote! Maine is one of two states (#Vermont is the other) where people retain the right to vote even when they are incarcerated. (Also true in #WashingtonDC & #PuertoRico). Source: @CivilRights

Absentee ballots must be received by the municipal clerk by 8:00 PM on Election Day. If use @USPS to receive or return your ballot: Request it at least 15 days before Election Day. Return it no more than 7 days before Election Day! Absentee Voting Guide:

Absentee voting allows you to cast your ballot without having to go to your polling place on Election Day. Any registered voter may cast an absentee ballot. You do not need a specific reason to request an absentee ballot. Request an absentee ballot here:

You are eligible to #vote in #Maine if you: (1) Are a citizen of the United States; (2) Are a resident of Maine and the county where you plan to register; (3) Are at least 17 years old when you register and will be at least 18 years old before the next general election.
