Delighted to see the world's first-ever mRNA norovirus vaccine entering trials in the UK. This is a big step forward in protecting people and easing the pressure on the NHS during winter.

David Minns' last request to me as his MP was to tell his story so others don't have to suffer like he did. Sadly, the law didn't change in time for David, but it could be changed in time to help countless others. Listen to his story ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ‘‡ https://t.co/VdnB69sYjs

Iโ€™m delighted MPs have voted decisively in favour of changing the law on Assisted Dying to allow people with terminal illness to die with dignity. This is a major liberal reform to alleviate suffering at the end of life.

As a former Health Secretary, I have thought hard about the Assisted Dying Bill. I have changed my mind on this and urge MPs to back the bill https://t.co/JmIjX6kylI

Following the huge success of this trial, the NHS should adopt self-testing for cervical cancer. Before Covid, the system was reluctant to rely on self-testing, but the pandemic proved we needn't be, and these trial results prove that once again. https://t.co/l6rEnyg5cK

One million more women would have life-saving checks if the NHS adopted self-testing, researchers estimate.

3. Itโ€™s moments like these that truly highlight why serving in public office has been such an honour for me. Huge thanks to all who supported me as Health Sec to get this through. Little Dexter's life - as well as thousands of others - will be turned around because of you.

2. The fight to secure the life-changing cystic fibrosis drug Orkambi for the NHS is something we should be so proud of as a country. Being in government is an immense privilege because it gives us the opportunity to make decisions that can transform lives.

This is great news. An AI-driven blood test capable of predicting Parkinson's years before symptoms, will make huge improvements to early diagnosis and treatment. This is just the beginningโ€”AI in health tech will continue to revolutionise care.

Itโ€™s amazing to see how far we've come. Just 5 years ago, when I was Health Sec, I first saw this tech being developed at the QEH in Birmingham. Fast forward to today, and the first patient has received a personalised vaccine against bowel cancer at that same wonderful hospital.

Elliot is among the first in England to receive a personalised cancer vaccine as part of a trial aimed at helping cancer patients. If successful, these vaccines might one day prevent a patients cancer from returning or spreading. Find out more. https://t.co/uSfShuxwy0
