The thing about the Phillies is everyone keeps saying they “need a bat” and that’s wildly false. They need at least 3 bats, probably 4-5 depending on where you stand with Marsh and Bohm. But Dombo and Thomson will keep saying, “we have the right guys, we just need them to hit.”.
They aren't going to do this but I would love for them to follow the 21 Braves blueprint at the deadline. Trade for like Ward/Robert/Adolis García and just see what sticks. Try to dump Casty, explore Marsh trades, just completely remake the OF.

On vacation this week and I’ve been pulling out the “pancakes for the table” move patented by @BarstoolBigCat . Family was hesitant at first but now they’re fully on board. The Cannoli pancakes this morning were a risky play that paid off. I’m seeing the board well this week

I can’t stop thinking about the Giants end of the Rafael Devers trade. Kyle Harrison was fully warmed up, about to face Shohei Ohtani on Sunday Night Baseball. Some poor soul had to go up to him 18 minutes before first pitch and say, “So, Kyle, you uh…so you know Boston right?”.
