Early specialization is overrated. Generalists excel over time. Data on >34k stars in sports, music, science, and chess: Focusing on a single field predicts a faster rise, but cross-training foreshadows a higher peak. The most successful adults start off as well-rounded kids.

Interesting, thought provoking post. Need to think on this one for a bit…
Canada is finally waking up to a hard reality it has long tried to ignore. Bay Street is now awakening as well. After decades of cheering on or excusing Ottawa’s performative policies, and virtue signalling, the realization that sanctions on Venezuelan oil can be lifted and those

So true...and it's sticking with it that is required for success...
This is probably one of the greatest lessons for life. "If you’re having fun, then you’re dangerous, right? Then you’re hard to compete with. You don’t want to go up against the person who’s having a good time doing it because if it feels like a hassle or a chore, that’s the

Love this for us…
Large numbers of Canadian snowbirds are arriving on Vancouver Island this winter, after cancelling their usual trips to Arizona and Florida over U.S. tariffs and if the influx continues, it could have a dramatic impact on the Island's economy. https://t.co/k7lNo0eQpk

This is so good…and entertaining. Big @rorysutherland fan…
The opposite of a good idea is another good idea. In logic, the opposite of a truth is a lie. In psychology, the opposite of a good strategy might be another winning strategy.

This is cold 🥶. Excellence is a habit
Tom Brady explains his mental edge and why practice (not gameday) creates separation. "There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there. I was extremely hypercompetitive every day. I didn't feel like let's get to Sunday and now it's the time...Every day is the time to

Curious for your thoughts… If Marketing’s purpose (in part) is to create a unique awareness of a brand and its unique solution in a sea of everything then why must we see so much copying! (Unwrapped) Know your brand, customers & uniqueness and amplify it!

The distinction between listening & understanding is well called out. Investing time ahead of the call to frame WHAT you want to better understand & then creating intentional open ended Q’s aimed at those WHAT’s is a critical step. Like many things, preparation matters
The main problem with the “talk to customers” mantra in *top tier companies* is that the vast majority of your people who talk to customers are going into customer conversations for confirmation & performative heroics and not for learning & insight. So, they will cherrypick

So insightful from the smartest pricing guy around @MadhavanSF Definitely worth a watch
Most founders accidentally train their customers never to pay them. @MadhavanSF (the "pricing guru" of Silicon Valley - having worked with LinkedIn, Uber, and 30+ unicorns) calls it the 20/80 Pricing Trap • 20% of your features drive 80% of the willingness to pay • Founders

The real work of leadership is subtraction. Removing noise, ambiguity, and unnecessary choices does more for performance than adding motivation ever could.

Founders underestimate how much narrative work the product needs. Shipping creates change. Marketing explains change. When explanation lags, customers experience motion as noise. Confusion quietly erodes trust even when the product improves.

1,000% true! All these ‘storyteller’ jobs I don’t understand. For example PMM’s are in part storytellers for a product. Brand marketers & sales people tell stories as part of their jobs. It’s not a new thing or role. It’s driven by a Founders company storytelling

My friends we need to really wake up and realize how good we have it and view things from a world 🌎 perspective - we are comparing ourselves to the .00001% instead of understanding th realities of the entire 8 billion plus out there - I really hope this video helps so the a
