I’m beyond sad that @THEJamesWhale has passed after his battle with cancer. I’ve worked with him on and off for 32 years and am honoured to call him a friend. He was the father of phone-in radio and I will miss him immensely. Sending all of my love to Nadine and family x

I was so glad I got to work with @THEJamesWhale again in recent years on his TalkTV show with him and my old pal @virtualash and @chuckthomasuk - I’ve got a great face for radio but they actually let me on the telly once or twice. Treasured memories!

I started working with this wonderful man back in 1993 and was a little starstruck after being a fan of his TV show in the 80s. I always looked forward to working with him. He knew that the best radio is pantomime and he is the master. Love you man! Thanks for everything x.
