There's technical debt, then there's technical subprime mortgages with exploding balloon payments.

The picture makes it look bigger than it really is so here’s a Monster can for scale. So much compute in an adorably compact little box.

It's beautiful! I just got my @FrameworkPuter Desktop and as promised it took less than 15 minutes from power on to running Omarchy install. Thanks @dhh!

Anyone use an EightSleep pod for bed temperature control? I just set mine up and am excited to see how it goes tonight. Getting improved sleep has been a focus for a while and I’m hoping this is the final environmental step.

Just finished day 1 of the Corvette Owner’s School for the C8 Z06 at the Ron Fellows Performance School at Spring Mountain. Extra fun slinging someone else’s car around the track, but I definitely want to figure out how to make time for some track days now that I’ve had a taste.

This made my day. I had the privilege of leading the Heroku ops team in 2010 and we were absolutely obsessed with reliability. The whole company was focused on it. We grew from 60k apps to 1.5 million in 18 months during that period too. It was pretty crazy.
It is striking to see how good obsessed Heroku was about reliability in 2010, and how the Heroku in 2025 has degraded so bad. (I was looking at how incidents were handled back in 2010, vs now). Is this the "Salesforce effect?". Hard to unsee the decay in this area.

Sometimes home ownership is massively overrated. Many of those days are when the deferred maintenance debt comes due. Somehow it's always like 3 days before vacation.

I blame @dhh for this. It's probably not the year of Linux on the desktop, but maybe 2026? Better not to risk it and check Omarchy out.

The hate for solar is so incredibly baffling. Makes no sense. We should really have an all of the above approach to energy if we want to be competitive.

Isn’t pausing the tariffs a tacit admission that this isn’t actually an emergency and that the entire basis for Trump’s use of IEEPA is illegal?. I mean we all knew it, but this feels like an admission.

The only way this would be more concerning is if it was Cramer telling us everything is going to be fine too.
In our view, the market is discounting the last leg of a rolling recession, which will give the Trump Administration and the Powell Fed many more degrees of freedom than investors expect, setting up the US economy for a deflationary boom in the second half of this year!.

The fact that XML is the new hotness if you don’t want to “boomer prompt” is a delightful bit of cognitive dissonance.
As some of you have noticed, avoid “boomer prompts” with o-series models. Instead, be simple and direct, with specific guidelines. Delimiters (xml tags) will help keep things clean for the model, and improve output. Read the full best practices guide:
