This is insane: Washington Baseball is an NCAA Tournament bubble team, and was losing 5-4 to NAIA Warner Pacific after 6 innings. WPU is 11-33 and did not make their conference tournament. The lights magically died in Washington’s stadium, and they avoided a loss on paper.

Was the backup for Rutgers last year and sounds like he looked really promising in spring. 3 years left . I’m sure will compete with Zevi & if legit, good chance he’s the starter after next year and if really good, you never know about next year too . Good depth at least.

Could not be more excited about additions of Ugbo, Hilbrandt & yahalo as bigs. Cougs bigs will look much diff next year. Better defense/reboundint/athleticism. If one of Ugbo/yahalo develop offensive game we could be VERY strong there . Now need a few more guards.

David Riley & Staff might be cooking in the portal . Excited if this all comes together . Roster will look different last year but I think that’s good. Better defenders, rebounders & size . Some newcomers raw on offense but potential in there.

Watched this film and uhh @simonhil10 is about to do MASSIVE things in Coach Riley’s scheme. Super excited about the Ugbo, Hildebrandt & Morton additions . Believe another 1-2 could be close as well.

New wazzu staff is doing great work on both lines . Seems like poly pipeline has reopened greatly with Mike Iupati. DL in particular which had shallow depth now seems stocked pretty well . Gonna be big & nasty in the trenches.

Looks like Simon can shoot the 3. The addition of Ugbo helped defense & rebounding . Simon appears to be more in the mold of a Dane type but also rebounded slightly better.
WSU has landed a commitment from High Point transfer wing Simon Hildebrandt, per his Instagram. Averaged 5.5 points and 3 rebounds in 13 minutes in one season with the Mustangs. Played two years of college ball in Canada prior. He has one year of eligibility at WSU
