Had a fantastic visit to Auckland University, hosted by A/Prof Scott Graham. It was wonderful to see the incredible work Scott does alongside brilliant scientists Dr. Catherine Angel and Prof. Charles Unsworth. This exciting trip was filled with experiments and multiple meetings

For years, parents have asked how we can effectively deliver anticancer drugs to Diffuse Midline Gliomas. Thanks to the DIPG/DMG Collaborative’s support, we are making progress by focusing on opening the blood-brain-barrier to improve drug delivery. Grateful and excited for this

Professional soulmate: like each other, rely on each other, with similar values and different skills. That simple really!
A lesson it took me too long to learn: Liking someone does not mean you'll like working with them... or work well with them. When choosing collaborators, don't forget to consider how dependable they are—and whether they have different skills but similar values.

I am looking forward to more studies like this and especially in older populations. Maybe I will tell my doctor next time I was born at 28 weeks. Survival of the littlest: the long-term impacts of being born extremely early

A Review in Nature discusses reports that suggest that diet modification can alter the efficacy of cancer therapies. The results discussed indicate dietary habits of a patient must be taken into account during cancer research and therapy. https://t.co/0LTzpAcpI7

@normanswan Schools remain a major concern. Children generally don’t get as sick but may act as a reservoir infecting and reinfecting the adult population. Asymptomatic infections makes it harder to contain and detect.
