We only saw a glimpse in the keynote, so here's a quick model of the Vision Pro's top strap. From what people are saying about the weight it looks like it'll be needed for long sessions #VisionPro #render

Had a great time chatting with MacRumors yesterday about the possibilities of Apples XR headset and its design. (sorry about my audio). I also created some new concept renders for @Dtalkingtech latest video, download below for higher resolution.

Im impressed with midjourneys interpretation of an Apple mixed reality headset. Even if it did take allot of prompting to get there, a reference image and a smige of photoshop cleanup. #mixedreality #midjourney

Starting to confirm mine and @nightKnight05 ‘s thoughts that Apple HMD will use a lenticular display for front pass through. This will enable different people to see the correct view of your face from their perspective.
A new Apple patent reveals that their work on Lenticular Displays now extends through to a possible future HMD Display

@markgurman's latest article says Apple’s XR headset will use a MagSafe-like battery pack with a magnetic port. @Dtalkingtech and I predicted this in our recent videos, check out his channel for more insights. I think two battery packs will be enough for indefinite use. You

The #OverviewEffect, experienced when gazing out of a plane window, never fails to captivate me. It evokes profound awe, connection, and calm. Advanced #XR could recreate these sensations in any environment, no penthouse required. Where would you choose if you can be anywhere?

Following on from my old spatial computing idea I explored for music, here's another. Task time integrates our calendar items and tasks into a simple new linear clock format. Giving you an intuitive visual overview to keep focused and on track. #SpatialComputing

@appltrack @mingchikuo Nahhh this is way off, they removed parts like user facing sensors to reduce cost. No way they release a headset over $4000 . I even think the original rumor of $3000 is too much. Time will tell.

@michalkosinski While this is indeed interesting and should be addressed by the AI community, the way you have gone about it is misleading and leveraging people’s worry regarding this technology. It’s unethical and disappointing, we should all do better.

@ianzelbo I think this is the minimum tech stack that represents the experience they are after for a consumer device. it'll get smaller and more compact as time goes on. Its definitely not aimed at the current XR / VR market customers ( which ofcourse makes us sad) and instead is aiming at.

@afoxdesign I had a little time this morning so I thought I'd help. I imported the model into CAD and scaled it correctly, then rebuilt the surface and flattened it into a sheet profile for you. It's close but will need testing and refining on the real thing. I'll Link the .ai file below.

After WWDC 2023, it looks like you'll be able to code new worlds for their headset. Some pioneering work was done years ago by the @ultraleap and @keiichiban , around what they call mirror worlds :

@DShankar This is the bane of creating concepts using AI, even for other product design it struggles with form. But I have had some success by combining terms like goggles, headsets, or HMD with glasses. It also helps to feed it a starting image. Here's some:

Can totally see people experiencing all their classic films in a new way with the eventual 2D -> spatial movie conversion.
Turning movies shots into 3D scenes using 3D Gaussian Splats 🤯. Next experiment will be about taking footages from movies, turning them in 3D and then take them into @UnrealEngine to add/edit. Remember this scene ?

Love to see companies passionate about their ID and sharing design decisions. Also from this I can see that there's space for this thing to get TINY in future versions, next few years are going to be interesting.
