I dont think it's actually naive. I think it's a bad faith position that sounds reasonable but impossible to actually bring to life.
Bari's memo isn't unreasonable (mostly), but it's incredibly naive. @StephenM, @KristiNoem, @TriciaOhio, and the rest only give interviews to MAGA outlets where they can lie or do quick TV hits where they can filibuster. A reporter with 60 Minutes would actually challenge

Twitter is crazy. Here everyone is lamenting the loss of this great building and the fall of civilization (apparently). It's the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. It still stands and hosts regular performances of opera, theater and ballet.
