Agreed. And it needs to be both deliberative and guided by what citizens - not just planners or politicians - want, leading to a collective vision for the city's future that is then respected by City Hall.
Most cities need a much better conversation about the constant, creative process of city-making. It needs to be an engaging, fascinating conversation that citizens WANT to be a part of. That SHOULD be easy, because cities are inherently fascinating! #dontbeboring
