Good time to resurface this is in light of Tempo. No, the world isn’t going to build on Ethereum. Do you really want to make that bet that $ETH prevails over $BTC as the predominant form of non-sovereign digital money?.
The ETH DAT meta will end up doing more harm than good for Ethereum as it essentially confirmed that the only remaining bull case for ETH is that it can rival BTC as the predominant form of non-sovereign digital money.
