Climate change is an existential threat to all of us. But those least responsible for global heating are being hit the hardest. People who: - are forced to flee. - are caught up in violence or conflict. - lack access to health care.

We are deeply troubled that our humanitarian convoy in Gaza City came under fire today. It was carrying lifesaving medical supplies to health facilities, including Al Quds @PalestineRCS hospital. Under IHL, humanitarian workers must be protected. 👇 https://t.co/sUcbJlkXYL

Our message @ICRC is simple: save lives and preserve humanity, on both sides, no matter who or where. The current humanitarian situation for huge numbers of civilians in #Gaza is incompatible with life and dignity and is simply unconscionable. We urge the parties to de-escalate.
I am shocked by the intolerable level of human suffering and urge the parties to the conflict to de-escalate now. The tragic loss of so many civilian lives in this conflict is deplorable. This is a catastrophic failing that the world must not tolerate. https://t.co/ekCHAMN212
