2022: the year I had a short story go viral. I'm grateful to all who read & shared. We even busted a server. ICYMI, "Between the Lines" is the story of a marriage, told through an email being drafted in real time. It takes ~ 5 min to read/experience. https://t.co/YMfPkH7vqe

"Mary, should we go back? Mary, should I leave my husband? Mary, give me answers." Love Kelly Luce's quirky flash in @CraftLiterary about the time at McDowell when Mary Ruefle drove her to the dentist.

"Pull Me Under" by Kelly Luce delves into existential themes and the complexities of human emotion. The protagonist navigates a surreal landscape that intertwines reality and imagination, grappling with isolation and the search for meaning. #KELLYLUCE

The NEA’s new compliance requirements are anti-trans, so we aren’t applying

Electric Literature has so much integrity and courage. They are standing with their trans writers & refusing an NEA grant as, in compliance with Trump, the NEA is refusing to fund work that promotes "gender ideology." EL needs to raise $15k to replace the grant. Donate if you can

Excited to have this poem come out in @ElectricLit today. This is a vulnerable one I was anxious to put out in the world, and one that means a lot to me. Grateful to the team especially editor @lucekel for their care and to my mothers.

Narrative Magazine: 1) keeps $20K+ in contest entry fees but doesn't choose (and therefore pay) winners 2) calls itself a religious org to avoid paying taxes 3) pays its founders $150K and $144K a year 4) charges $26 for regular submissions They're a scam. https://t.co/EeYJi2Q8d6
