Correcting the dates (and updated flyer posted too): April 10-11 (but the days listed here are correct, Friday evening reading and Saturday morning meet-and-greet!).
Local(ish) friends, students, alumni: we're so excited to welcome David Mason for two events on April 11-12. Please come--you will not regret it!

It says something about how tired everyone is at this point in the semester, that about 10 people have looked over the earlier draft of this flyer with an incorrect date, and no one noticed. But anyway, here's the flyer with the correct date, and please come, one and all!

Welcome to Portico, a new literary quarterly from the Institute on Religion and Public Life. This seems like an inauspicious time to start such a publication, doesn’t it? Writing is…

I didn't think this was possible, but reading this review makes me even MORE excited that both @StevenEKnepper and @AmitMajmudar will be at @ashlandmfa for this summer residency (well, just a one-day visit for Amit, but it will be absolutely, utterly AMAZING).
I have a review at the University Bookman (@KirkCenter) today of @AmitMajmudar's The Great Game: Essays on Poetics (@acre_books). Check it out 👇. "No one...takes poetic hairpin turns at speed like Majmudar does. His poems are full of sonic swerves and surprises..."

Here @ashlandmfa we believe that the American Midwest is the next best thing to the Yorkshire moors for encouraging creative writing. Join us this summer as we read great books and equip you to write your own great book!
An MFA will never prepare you to become a writer. To become a writer you must first be raised on the Yorkshire moors with your equally creative siblings, with whom you write a series of interconnected fantasy narratives
