New blog by #cdnchildcare economist Gordon Cleveland aims at "clearing the fog" by analyzing and understanding child care data. (Too much misinformation is floating around...)
childcarepolicy.net

The team at QP Briefing consistently kicked ass, delivered scoops and kept an eye on provincial politics like none other. We’re worse off without these journalists, but I hope QPB’s loss is some other smart editor’s gain 🤍

As families in Ontario wait for child care fee relief, some for-profit child care owners seem more interested in continuing the status quo of sky-high parent fees and rock bottom wages for early childhood educators. #Opinion by @CarolynFerns https://t.co/ZWJCXxRIDw

The federal child care plan is a game changer for families but this means it must also bring change to the way the child care sector operates.

Today, we learned that a teenage boy in New Brunswick with a traumatic brain injury was held in lockup at a youth facility, a place he never should have been. After being released from a 30-day psychiatric hold, he took his own life.

The Premier of Ontario seems to be misinformed about eligibility for Ontario Works (what he called “the dole”) and immigration status. Here are the facts. #onpoli The majority of permanent newcomers to Canada are economic class - skilled workers, and skilled trades.

The release of the conservative fiscal plan confirms total cut of $10/day child care: it's anti-women, anti-family and anti-kids and would undermine a strong and fair social and economic recovery. Not a surprise but an awful choice. Elections have consequences #cdnpoli #childcare

Good to see a reporter unpack the private health care story. There’s a lot more to it than “Twitter! Manipulated!!”
