Beyond the science, Minerva makes a killer tortilla 👩‍🍳 . Minerva is also a dab hand at embroidery 🧵🪡, a skill that has been very useful throughout our craft-based public engagement project (more details soon!).

🔎 Minerva's project focuses on developing a novel 3D airway 🫁 cell culture model to investigate the interactions between epithelial cells, fibroblasts and immune cells.

Next up, Minerva spent some time as a research tech with our good friends 🤝 and soon-to-be neighbours.@cjohansson_lab. In 2022 Minerva joined the Lloyd team as a research tech then research assistant, before starting an exciting PhD project with Clare 🤩.

🔎April's research seeks to investigate the immune-neuro-stromal communications in asthma with a specific focus on type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), fibroblasts, and extracellular matrix (ECM) 👩‍🔬.
