Nobody should be surprised that the day is here when kids in classrooms lose out to the need to fund teacher pensions. We've known for years this was coming. But everyone should be alarmed.

I'm so excited to dig into this study - open enrollment policies are both growing and under-discussed. 1.6 million kids used open enrollment last year, including almost 700K low-income kids.

Love these ideas for expanding public school choice. More than 7M kids already use charter or magnet schools; hundreds of thousands leverage open enrollment. And don't sleep on the appetite and opportunity for microschools in public & private sector!.

So who is launching the dumb-your-phone-to-improve-your-life 2-week challenge? Test in the real work at scale immediately?!.
Taking phones off the internet boosts mental health. People were randomly assigned to block mobile internet for 2 weeks. They socialized, exercised, and read more—and became happier, less depressed & anxious, and more focused. Being unglued from devices is good for well-being.
