Access to stigma free food programs is a priority for our govt. Thanks to B.C.’s Feeding Futures Program, 90% of schools offer meals & snacks. We welcome the news from the PM about the #NSFP & look forward to working together to ensure our schools are adequately supported. #bced

Big news for B.C. families 💙 Today, I introduced legislation that will make it easier for school districts to offer #ChildCareOnSchoolGrounds — so parents can find quality care in the same safe, familiar places where their kids learn & grow. #ChildCareBC #BCSchools #BCKids

Students’ safety & well-being come first. Today’s proposed law will hold vaping companies accountable, keeping harmful substances out of kids’ hands & protecting their health and future. We will always stand up for students. #ProtectingStudents #bced https://t.co/xCVRndgDN9

My husband and I picked up our grandchildren from school when they were little because their parents were at work. We cherished this time with them. But most working parents don’t have this kind of back up. I support this legislation that will make back up more collective.

Most parents don’t work 9-3 and may end up scrambling to pick up their kids after school. We’ve introduced legislation that, if passed, would allow school districts to offer seamless child care before and after school, on school grounds.

I’m deeply sorry to hear about the incident at MLA Amelia Boultbee’s home. There is no place for violence in politics. Acts like this discourage women from running for office or seeking re-election at all levels of government.

Last night at approximately 10 PM several vehicles and individuals approached my home and rocks were thrown at my home and vehicle. Police were called and investigated. While the motive or perpetrators remains unknown to me, this is very distressing in light of recent events.

No matter our differences, we can all agree that political violence, especially the targeting of the home of an elected official, has no place in our province.
