exposing myself as a folk punk enjoyer here but russell crowe’s bad singing is so sincerely beautiful to me & i would take the voice cracks over someone hitting the correct notes any day.
rewatching les mis (2012) for the first time in almost a decade and i have a hot take, namely that while this movie is objectively a poor work of cinema it’s a highly effective and thoughtful adaptation of the source material and esp the book.
