If higher costs were the only reason that giant corporations are raising prices, they wouldn’t be reporting record profits at the same time. Big businesses are using all the talk about inflation as a shield to jack up prices. My Price Gouging Prevention Act would fight back.

it is simply an observable fact that the police don’t solve crimes, and that cities are devoting huge sums of cash to what are essentially make-work jobs and overtime scams

It’s not just Uvalde. Cops nationwide can’t stop crimes from happening or solve them once they’ve occurred.

Dear America, I study violence and I study mental health. The problem is access to guns. I’m also the elected president of the International Society for Research on Aggression. International experts agree— it’s the guns. Regards, Tracy

The idea that an 18-year-old can walk into a store and buy assault weapons is just wrong. What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for except to kill someone?

What a ridiculous sentence. You think 34 school shootings this year still qualifies them as "rare"? Compared to rainy days, sure. Compared to how many you'd expect anywhere else in the world, they're extraordinarily common in this country.
