I used to ship with @FedEx but will never do so again. This package was due to arrive last 4 days ago. This is just incompetence at this point.

@sdbaral I can't believe that my mathematical model - that treats human beings as unthinking programmable automatons and every pet project I have concocted as being 100% effective in achieving my goals - ended up telling me that, if not for human nature, my pet projects would have worked!

Just when I think that people can’t sink any lower, I find myself even more disgusted. If you think this way it isn’t because of your “concern for others”. It is your absolute lack of humanity. https://t.co/Pvh19vqbSd

@JamesHoweWR @j4shah Why do Canadian believe closing schools is an option? Why does it require far more things when the things we are doing are considered to be a way more than what is needed by everyone else… in the world.

Let me perfectly clear, I would be happy to chat with anyone about the benefits of vaccination but will never stigmatize them if they choose not to get vaccinated. I see no role for judgment and shame in medicine or public health. I never have and never will.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but pretending you’re slowing the spread of COVID by supporting a bunch of totalitarian mandates that impose enormous costs on children, minorities and the poor does not make you virtuous or caring. Actually it just makes you a fascist.

How does OSHA's "epidemiological expertise" determine that vaccination has to be required in all companies with 100 or more employees regardless of workplace population, type etc. Ah... he just hit that

The importance of the Supreme Court’s decisions in the OSHA and CMS cases, which will be argued this morning, cannot be overstated. I would go so far as to say the future of freedom in America hangs in the balance.

I've said this for two years now. Those who understand real risk are not that concerned about Covid. Those who typically face little risk - office staff for example - are terrified.

Somebody finally read the decades of mask studies pre-2020 that show at best a low certainty of the efficacy of any kind of mask (let alone cloth) for aerosol-transmitted viruses. If only they had done that sooner.

Studies are emerging that cloth masks are not effective in preventing the spread of COVID.

All of this has been based on "what we thought people would be able to tolerate." Your willingness to wear masks and get vaccines to travel (or whatever inconvenience you were trying to avoid) enabled all of it.

“It really had a lot to do with what we thought people would be able to tolerate,” CDC Director Walensky says on why the CDC shortened the isolation period from 10 days to 5 days if you’re asymptomatic. Our full interview:

So Omicron is basically the equivalent of a vaccine.

Nice COVID data! The Sigal Lab from S. Africa has just shown that antibodies produced after Omicron infection neutralize the Delta variant. Combined with the increased transmissibility and mild symptoms associated with Omicron, this could signal an off ramp from the pandemic.
