Nothing prepares you to pick out a headstone for your dad. Glad my mom, brother and I could enjoy a couple beers over lunch. I had a Blue Moon. My dad always laughed & called it a Blue Moron 😂. Here’s the picture I think I want laser etched on his stone. Still hard to believe.

Time to plant pumpkins. Grandpa bought this tractor new in 75. Dad bought it from grandpa. I’m dads hay day he planted 2,000 acres with this. Now I take ownership, earlier than I wanted. But this right here is my favorite tractor. I can remember grandpa teaching me to drive it.

Farm a family farm they said…..it’ll be fun they said. 🙄 It amazes me how the generation that inherited the ground will treat their own blood. I’m holding myself back from telling off my dad’s cousin. Some don’t realize the blood sweat and tears that go into a farm.

Yesterday after we offloaded the planter. I just looked at the driver and we both laughed. Said he takes it everywhere with him 😂.

It’s been a year since we lost dad. How that’s possible, I’m not sure. I miss times like this that we shared on the farm. Farming will truly never be the same for me. I miss you and think of you everyday.

I debated sharing this. Starting NH3 season has been emotional. Dad would’ve been the one in the tractor & loving every minute. First field I started was the home farm. In the middle of a bean field & had a monarch butterfly circling the tractor. I want to believe dad was there.

Very special new carpet truck. My dad drove a semi in fall and my son loved riding with him. He wanted a replica truck that papa drove. I had my super talented cousin build just that. I can’t believe how it turned out. Many tears were shed when this was opened. Before&after.

Bolt came loose evidently. Went through all the gears causing havoc. I’m told there’s a DTAC case on this and there was a PIP but was discontinued in 2019.

Finished mowing all the ditches today. Made it all the way home and absolutely lost it once I got home. Bawling as I post this. I feel so broken and lost without my dad. I miss him so much. How do we that have farmed with our dads move forward?

Had a great time over the weekend with my 94 yr old grandpa. Hasn’t been up in a combine in years so made it happen & we had a blast together. Wanted to know all about how to operate the S680. Many stories of how they used to harvest on the farm.

My uncle is finally finished (sort of) with the 8400 detailing (light restoration). Picture’s really don’t do it justice. You won’t find a blemish on this thing now. Dad would’ve been proud. Need to put new tires on it as they stick out now 😂.
