More folks are turning to food banks and over 10,400 are experiencing homelessness in Toronto alone. We need better policies, not more police.

My biggest takeaway from the course involving #caregivers and #selfadvocates in addition to clinicians, was the importance of an “all teach, all learn” approach. Read our article here: https://t.co/tDdYru1fiQ

so thankful for your mentorship, @laurarstjohn. Excited to see where this project takes us!
Laura presented her research on #physicalactivity, #sedentarybehaviour & #sleep in adults with #IDD, caregivers & service providers. Can you guess which group had the highest levels of #PA? Which group had the most sleep? @Nafapa2 @HCARDD

I’m curious as to how much of the low voter turnout can be attributed to inaccessibility & fewer polling stations, versus plain ambivalence. How do we fix this in the next 4 years?
38% voter turnout. Tomorrow when the Greenbelt is demolished, when our healthcare capacity crashes, when our children’s education is deprioritized & support systems removed, when disparities between communities widen - don’t complain, because this is exactly what you wanted.

There is no such thing as being “pro-life” while supporting laws that let children be shot in their schools, elders in grocery stores, worshippers in their houses of faith, survivors by abusers, or anyone in a crowded place. It is an idolatry of violence. And it must end.

It's one thing when a nurse is assaulted by a patient experiencing confusion. It's another kind of evil to be assaulted by a conservative govt official simply for advocating for safer working conditions. Ontarians should be condemning this. It's not okay. Nurses deserve better!
