Because the rules clearly state. No third-party software or outside help besides in game action.
They would literally need to change the rules.
Everyone has severely been too proud of genning, and "oh, it's no big deal". It is and always has been.

I went 4-6 and feel good still.
I only got 2-0d once and took all my sets to game 3 basically.
