I’m well aware there are people who can’t afford the heating. But I’m seeing plenty of people who want to “save” money talking about holding out. If you’ve not used your heating before it snows next week, it’s going to cost a fortune to take effect and probably spring a leak.

If you are going to turn your heating on at all, you need to do it little and often. If you leave the heating off for a week then try and heat the house, it’s doing to take many hours longer than usual to achieve warmth. Plus in this weather, the boiler needs warmth too.
