10. Don’t worry about the numbers 👂🏻 📈📉 Don’t make a podcast to gain huge audiences, growth can take a lot of time As long as it fits your WHY then it’ll be worthwhile

9. Consistency Most people want to know what they’re going to get before they listen. Think about; •Publishing schedules •Format •Delivery •Hosts

7. Audio quality People value high quality audio. You want levels to be equal, edits to be invisible and it to sound clean Programmes like @auphonic are brilliant. But make sure the audio you put into them is good

3. Think about TV shows, podcasts and radio shows you enjoy. What makes you keep coming back for more as a consumer?

2. Think carefully about the medium of FOAMed you go for; •Does it suit your why? •What suits you as an educator? •What will you enjoy? •What will you be able to consistently deliver? E.g. @TheResusRoom takes a total workflow time of an hour for every 2-3 minutes audio

1. Whatever your project, make sure that the ‘why’ is fulfilling to you, even if no one engages/listens The process of researching, writing & interviewing needs to be enough in itself.

Had a few chats recently with groups looking to set up medical #podcasts 🎤🎧 exciting times! Thought might be useful to share our experience, whilst not claiming to be an expert A thread 🧵
